EARL NewsThree EARL Objectors Withdraw Royal Mail, Grampian Country Food Group and O2 have all withdrawn their objections to the Edinburgh Airport Rail Link (EARL) Bill, following successful discussions with tie Limited. tie has been working closely with all three objectors to properly address any issues which may arise, concerning all three organisations’ operations. As a result of this close cooperation, tie has provided Royal Mail, Grampian Food Group and O2 with assurances that the construction and operation of EARL will have no adverse effects on their operations. Barry Cross, Project Director, EARL, said: “We are delighted that three important national organisations have removed their objections. All three recognise the benefits that EARL will bring to Scotland as a whole. We have worked hard together to agree a way forward and will continue to consult as the project progresses.“ EARL will connect Edinburgh Airport to 62 stations across the country, serving 64% of the population, and will remove 1.7 million car trips from the road, per year, by 2026.For further information, please contact: Notes:
